An Angry Valentine

An
Angry Valentine
If you won't
be my Valentine
I'll scream, I'll yell, I'll bite.
I'll cry aloud, I'll start to whine
If you won't be my Valentine.
I'll frown and fret, I'll mope and pine, and
It will serve you right ---
If you won't be my Valentine
I'll scream, I'll Yell, I'll Bite!

You will not be missed - an obituary

clipped from www.oddee.com
DOLARES Aguilar has passed away. This, her obituary, appears in the Times-Herald Napa/Sonoma paper: Dolores had no hobbies, made no contribution to society and rarely shared a kind word or deed in her life. I speak for the majority of her family when I say her presence will not be missed by many, very few tears will be shed and there will be no lamenting over her passing… There will be no service, no prayers and no closure for the family she spent a lifetime tearing apart.

History of the Christmas Advent Calendar

History of the
Christmas Advent Calendar
History of the Advent Calendar

As a child, Gerhard Lang's mother had made him a basic advent calendar so
that he could count down the days until Christmas. She placed 24 sweets onto
a piece of cardboard and each day the young Gerhard would take and eat a
sweet. When he grew up Gerhard Lang made the first printed advent calendar
in 1908.

Later, in 1946, we see Richard Sellmer producing calendars in
Germany. The US authorities had to grant him a license in the now post war
Germany which led to his advent calendars becoming known and indeed very
popular in the USA.History Advent Calendar

Sellmer's first advent calendar was called 'The Little Town'. The
calendar had pictures of many buildings in the town and you would open the
windows and the doors to find nice things underneath for each day of advent.
By
the end of the 1950s, chocolate advent calendars had appeared, and by the
following decade they had become widespread.

Remember - Our wowrld is MELTING

Remember Our World Is Melting

Raising awareness on the issue of global warming is not easy this days, but artists come up with all sorts of original ways to make the news.

Take Brazilian artists Nele Azevedo,  who created 2,000 ice-sculptures and placed them on the steps of the Berlin Opera Hall, to melt. That’s a lot of work to watch melt away in one hot afternoon, but at least her message made the newspapers. And if one more person knows about the melting Arctic ice, than her effort was not in vain.

A close look at smiles

Smile and the whole world smiles with you: frown and you frown alone.

This month the BBC reported a new study suggests people from different cultures read facial expressions differently.

Take the Test and find out which Tarot Card YOU are

    Which Tarot Card Am I?

The Tarot is a system of both divination (foretelling the
future or the circumstances of the present or past) and
philosophy. It is said that after the burning of the great
library at Alexandria, the scholars, mystics and
philosophers created the system of Tarot so that the
ancient wisdom could always be received. Tarot images
represent the great archetypes in a manner that makes
them open to understanding on many levels.
